Task 3: Social media considerations/ issues

Cyber bullying is when you are victimized by one or more people that are essentially picking on you about anything or everything to do with you. There are avenues on every application where you can report people for doing this.

Identity theft is a serious issue where a stranger can take your social media information and gain access to important documents such as bank details, addresses and numbers. They are also able to do illegal activities under your name so if they get caught, it will be you who will be compromised. Being able to prove that someone is impersonating you online can be difficult so using as much security -like difficult passwords etc- is always advised.

Offensive images and messages can easily be received on online social networking. It's always important that you keep your profiles as private as possible, so the general public can't find you easily. If you have a friend that has posted a photo you deem as inappropriate the social media outlet you are using will always have an option to report that photo or even message to.
