Task 11: Recommended tools for social media engagement
I think that two of the most important tools for Library's engagement with the customers, are Instagram & Facebook, because they are extremely popular and very easily/on time updated and also allow the highest possible exposure to the public.
Task 5: How libraries are using social media
UTS Library
The UTS Library provides YouTube videos for navigating its
library and also giving students videos on their lectures.

allows users to make reviews of the Library and also comment on posts. The
posts are generally about up and coming events like special collections etc.

Task 2: What are social media tools?
Media
tools are applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and
Blogger. These are sites with different rules and settings for users to choose
from. Some users will like more applications than others and will have their
own preferences.
Brief
descriptions of the five applications.
Facebook
Facebook
is a social network that allows users to post comments, share photographs and
links to news or other interesting content, i.e play games, live chat and live
video.

Twitter
Twitter
is a social network where people communicate in short messages called tweets.
Tweeting is sending short messages to anyone who follows you on Twitter.

Snapchat
Snapchat
is a app where users can take photos, videos and chat to others. What makes it
different from other social networks is that you can only view photos and
videos for a certain amount of time. If chatting to a friend and you leave the
app, it will wipe all your chat. You are able to screen shot other peoples
photos but it tells them if you have done so.

Instagram
Instagram
is a social network made for sharing photos and videos from a smartphone. When
you post a photo or video on Instagram, it will be displayed on your profile.
Other users who follow you will see your posts in their own feed. Likewise,
you'll see posts from other users whom you choose to follow.

Blogger
Blogger
is a website that is free to people to create an online blog that can be about
what ever interests them. The website can be customised to your taste i.e
colours, pictures, videos, and fonts.
